So much has changed in my life in the last few years! So many incredible life changing things. It has been said that the best and most successful years of a mans life are between the years of 40 and 60. I never would have believed it until now. I was active in sports in high school and fit. But I feel better now physically and spiritually than I have ever felt my entire life. I am so excited as I dream, set goals and make it happen. Life has unlimited potential and you can make of it anything you want. How exciting is that? Life has just begun and it is never too late to start!

I have lost 100#'s and now can confidently and proudly call my self an athlete. I run an average 6 miles a day. I am presently training for the Chicago Marathon in October. Last Sunday I ran 12 miles and will increase a mile a week. I also weight lift and do aerobics. I still love wedding cake! I just have to watch what I eat a little closer. ( :

I enjoy running races in Illinois and Indiana. In October of 2007 I ran my first Marathon in Chicago.  This was the HOT race where a participant actually died, hundreds were sent to the emergency room and the race was cancelled. Despite cramping and the helicopters announcing to "stop running"! I went on an finished the race.

I am always seeking self improvement. There is always room for improvement. I have also been facing my fears head on. I now realize now how fear has held me back in life. When I catch myself feeling intimidated I am drawn to it and passionately want to face it. For example I am afraid of heights. So why not go skydiving? Here is the video of me jumping out of a perfectly good airplane on youtube: (there is a commercial at the beginning up to 2:10)

I am a giving person. I believe the time for me to give is when someone is in need not when I feel like it. I find selfishness unattractive. I also realize it is only human. I believe in flexibility, compromise and the necessity of change and growth.

Things I find attractive are empathy, compassion, love, humor, and confidence but not ego or arrogance. I like to find the good that there is in all people.

I like all styles of music but to relax some instrumental pieces truly do something magical to me. Also I like classic sounds. I love to hear "Look of love" by Diana Krall and that lost style of music. I love her voice and she places me into timelessness. ( : Michael Buble, Janet Arden "you don't know me", Joe Cocker "You are so beautiful".

I just finished my motorcycle training course through the U of I. I just picked up a Suzuki Boulevard C50 Cruiser. I love it! I need to get my saddle bags installed and I am ready for some road trips.

I have been taking ballroom dance for the last year through the Regency in Savoy, Illinois. I have learned Swing, Waltz, Rumba and Two step. Presently I am taking Salsa and Two step at the University of Illinois. It is allot of fun and I enjoy the interaction.

I am a member of the American Disc Jockey Association A.D.J.A.  and also involved with the Illinois Downstate Chapter in Springfield Illinois. I go to Trade shows and just recently went to the Mobile beat magazine show in Las Vegas earlier this year.

I am a member of Toastmasters International. They have got to change the name of this organization! I will work on that. lol! NO it is not a drinking club. It is an amazing organization that promotes public speaking interpersonal communication and leadership. I have learned from this organization and have become a better speaker because of it.

I have started organizing and hosting singles events. I contacted the Commercial News in Danville to promote the first event and they followed up with an interview by phone. Then there was a follow up and a request to interview in person. The interview also included a visit to my work out and Tai Kwon Do class at the Y.MC.A. I about fell over when someone announced to me "have you seen this"!!! Wow. They did a full page article on me in the Downtown Danville section.

My focus now is is transitioning from running to weight lifting. I will still run and do races but for now the Chicago marathon will be my last. However, someone has been putting a bug in my ear about qualifying for Boston.

Some things I want to do and try are white water rafting, repelling and parasailing. I also have a mission tripped scheduled for Barbados Mexico that I am excited about.
